This is The LFC View
Another Liverpool FC fansite. So what?
Well with this site I can offer something relatively unique amidst the countless blogs and websites written about this great club. Articles these days are almost always agenda driven with tribalism often rearing its ugly head. Cliques and factions have developed amongst supporters groups in recent years which has made following Liverpool FC a surprisingly complicated ordeal. In all of this nonsense the actual game of football gets completely lost.
I have no agenda. I don't harp on about past managers returning, I'm not stuck in a time warp like some deluded fans are and I have little interest in any Twitter controversies. All you will ever get from me is an honest assessment of each match as I see it, as well as my thoughts on any other major developments at the club. I'll remain as unbiased and objective as possible and more importantly I'll aim to give you a truthful account of how the players performed. I'll never descend to the level of personal abuse but by Christ you better at least put a shift in if you're going to pull on the red jersey.
At present the good ship Liverpool FC is struggling to stay afloat in what has become a pretty loathsome modern era for the game. Now it's all about those precious Champions League positions and sadly it's all about the almighty dollar. Our club has been in a "transitional" stage for over 20 years now, much to the amusement of other fans. Despite this, we must believe that FSG will be able to steer us back on course again and that their long term plans for the future come to fruition.
As a point of note I began work on this website in the final days of Roy Hodgson's reign so that's where the reports start from. For the sake of my own mental health it's probably for the best that I didn't have to review the majority of those games. Now Brendan Rodgers is at the helm so he will need our full support if the club is to move forward again.
The Battle of Santiago
Ok so this is non-LFC related, but it's still an almighty entertaining watch. Take note all you modern blouse wearers because this was back when men were men. In particular, check out the money shot at 2:11.
